Holding is earmarked even though I canceled the order

I edis one scrip – all items and put a sale order however canceled it however once I verify that scrip in cdsl best account – it reveals these shares are earmarked at 10.15 pm

So the second a consumer end the edis course of – its earmarked in best accountor when consumer place sale order it’s earmarked ?

I believed it would solely be earmarked as soon as the promote order is already executed however in my case – I cancelled it at 11 am – and it’s nonetheless earmarked – can somebody clarify.
